Supervision of Supervision

Kate is an experienced Approved Clinical Supervisor with BCACC (ASC) and Supervisor Mentor (SOS). Kate will work collaboratively with you to develop your supervisory skills, including building supportive professional relationships with the clinical counsellors you supervise, learning to evaluate the needs of your supervisees, finding effective ways to document supervision meetings, and learning about your legal and ethical responsibilities as a clinical supervisor.

During SOS meetings, Kate will take time to discuss any challenges you might encounter with your supervisees. She can also review and give feedback on your supervision contract, professional disclosure statements, and your philosophy/reflection paper required for BCACC. Kate also encourages new supervisors to share a video recording of them working with a supervisee for feedback and discussion.  For some associations, video reviews are a requirement to become an Approved Clinical Supervisor.

Professional support and mentorship to help you develop your skills, build your confidence, and thrive in your practice.
