Professional Development Services for Practicing Counsellors

Strengthening the Therapist Within

Individual & Small Group Supervision

Individual supervision provides a confidential space for case consultation, skill development, ethical decision making, and mentorship. It is ideal for both new and experienced counsellors. For those who prefer a more collaborative setting, dyads or small groups of up to 4 offer peer-supported learning, detailed case discussions, and a reduced cost.

Clinical Group Supervision

Seahorse Counselling’s group supervision offers a supportive, collaborative space for professional development, tailored to participants’ interests and clinical focus. Whether engaging in general supervision or IFS consultation, these groups of 6-8 participants foster in-depth discussion, skill-building, and peer connection — helping you grow in confidence and competence as a clinician.

VIDEO REVIEWS

Receive personalized feedback on your clinical work through video review. Led by Kate, an IFS-approved Clinical Consultant and RCC-ACS, we offer long video reviews (50–60 minutes) for in-depth feedback on full client sessions, and short video reviews (around 20 minutes) for focused, targeted insights to support your clinical growth.

Supervision of Supervision

Kate offers supervision for Supervisor Candidates, including support with developing supervisory skills, navigating ethical issues, and reviewing required documents such as contracts and reflection papers.

IFS Supervision

We have several options available to provide support for counsellors trained in IFS. For those wanting support using IFS in their clinical practice, we offer Individual or dyadic supervision, video reviews, and a bi-weekly IFS Supervision group.

IFS CONSULTATION

For those wishing to become a Certified IFS Therapist and have completed their level 1 training, we offer individual or dyadic consultation with an IFS-I Approved Clinical Consultant and a 5-week IFS Consultation group to help you prepare for the certification process. Kate is also available to watch a video of you working with a client to offer feedback and suggestion
